Nigel Clough reserved special for Chris Porter's performance at Walsall, but also revealed Jose Baxter and Stephen McGinn are doubtful for the weekend's FA Cup tie at Aston Villa with ankle injuries.
Speaking after a controversial penalty award turned the game against the Blades at the Banks's Stadium on Wednesday, Clough commented:
"Chris (Porter) played well; he was as good as anybody in the first-half and held the ball up well.
"He deserved his goal and that was reward for all his efforts in the past few weeks.
"Chris gave a complete display in the first-half; he won his headers, brought runners into play and, importantly, got his goal.
"I am delighted for him, but worried about the knocks picked up by Jose (Baxter) and Stephen (McGinn).
"Jose got a whack on his ankle in the first-half and Stephen turned his ankle after half-time. That disrupted us a bit and they were both in discomfort when they left the field."
Speaking about the futures of loan duo Conor Coady and Simon Lappin, Clough added: "We would like to extend the loan of Conor and we have expressed that to him, so we are awaiting a final decision.
"Simon Lappin was an emergency loan, we would have to take him until the end of the season and he wants to play more regularly, so that one might be more difficult."
