Boss up for award

Nigel Clough has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for December.

The Blades were unbeaten in both competitions, progressing in the FA Cup, as well as picking up eight point in four games.

Daily Mail's Football League columnist Ivan Speck commented on the Blades boss, saying: "His calm assurance is proving a boon at Bramall Lane. He placed the emphasis on establishing a solid foundation and his side are buying in to his tactics, conceding just two goals in four games and earning eight points in the process."

Also nominated is Steve Cotterill of Bristol City, Karl Robinson of the MK Dons and Brentford's Mark Warburton.

The winner will be announced on Friday.

Sky Bet are title sponsor of The Football League. The sponsorship includes a revenue share deal with all 72 member clubs.

The revenue share generates money, paid to every club, based on the revenue generated by their fans that sign up and bet with Sky Bet.

Through this ongoing arrangement, Sky Bet are able to add another income stream to every club in The Sky Bet Football League.
