Sheffield United's academy stars of the future are sitting pretty thanks to a new partnership with one of Europe's leading sofa specialists.
The country's largest sofa manufacturer and retailer, DFS, headquartered in Doncaster, is now the shirt sponsor of three United academy teams, the under 9s, under 10s and under 11s.
Paul Reeves, Head of Commercial at United, said: "We are delighted to announce a new partnership with DFS.
"We are both proud and privileged that they have chosen to invest in our youth academy, and it gives us a huge boost with the projects we are working towards."
Since its opening in 2002, the United Academy has seen many young players make the required step up to the first team squad including Kyle Walker, Kyle Naughton, Harry Maguire and George Long.
Ian Filby, Chief Executive Officer, DFS, said: "As a Yorkshire based company we are passionate about giving back to the community we live and work in, especially when it comes to supporting our region's young talent.
"We're proud to show our support and we hope our sponsorship goes some way to give the teams and players the best possible advantage on the pitch."
