Leading Sheffield businessman Graham Moore has been appointed a Vice President of Sheffield United FC.
Mr Moore, who is chairman of Westfield Health, one of the UK's leading health insurers, takes up the post immediately.
He joined Westfield Health after more than 20 years in personnel management as Chief Executive in 1985 and became Chairman in 1995. He stepped down as Chief Executive in 2008 to concentrate on his continuing role as non-executive Chairman.
Mr Moore is a past Chairman of the Sheffield City Centre Business Group, a Sheffield Chamber of Commerce initiative working to affirm the city's efforts to become one of the UK's most vibrant areas. He played a key role in Sheffield's successful staging of the 2013 British Transplant Games.
He is currently the chair of Sheffield's Physical Activity and Food Board; a trustee with the Sheffield City Trust and a former trustee with Age UK Sheffield Ltd.
Sheffield United co-owner Kevin McCabe said: "Graham and Westfield enjoy a long association with the club. We are delighted to have someone with Graham's enthusiasm, experience, contacts and knowledge of the city coming on board as a Vice President of Sheffield United."
Mr Moore said: "I am looking forward to playing my part alongside others at the club in maximising its engagement with the local community where it has such a rich heritage as a sporting organisation in the city."
