Jamie Murphy believes one of United's toughest matches of the season will be the clash with Bristol City at Bramall Lane on Saturday.
Both the Blades and the Robins have been installed amongst the favourite to win Sky Bet League One and Murphy shares those sentiments.
Looking ahead to the seasonal opener, which will also be televised live on Sky Sports, the Scottish winger remarked: "Bristol City finished last season very well and they, like us, have some excellent players.
"Steve Cotterill is a manager with a reputation for winning promotion and I am sure they will be aiming for the top six at the very least this season, again just like we are.
"They have signed a lot of good players this summer and arguably, although it is our first game, it could be our toughest of the season.
"I am just pleased we are at home, there remains a real positivity amongst the supporters and it would be brilliant to kick-off with three points, although nothing will be won or lost on Saturday."
