Pre-season ends at York

1 August 2014

United round off pre-season preparations with a trip to York City on Saturday (1pm kick-off).

After two wins, two defeats and a draw, Nigel Clough will be looking to head into next week's Sky Bet League One opener with Bristol City with another morale-boosting performance.

The team selection at Bootham Crescent could be interesting with Clough highlighting a number who are set to feature.

After Thursday evening's victory over Turkish champions Fenerbahçe, Clough commented: "We didn't want to risk Murphy and Harris, whilst Baxter and Scougall picked up minor niggles against Huddersfield.

"Murphy and Harris will play at York and so too, probably, will Baxter. We'll have to make a decision on whether Scougall takes part or we leave him a little longer.

"We eased Flynn in with 55 minutes against Fenerbahçe, it is likely that he will feature at York and it was good to get a few minutes into Wallace."

* Saturday's fixture at Bootham Crescent kicks off at 1pm and York City have advised United that 600 terrace tickets will be available to Blades fans (cash only).
