Sheffield United's Community Foundation is proud to announce that it has become the first football club trust in the country to be assessed and accredited with the matrix standard quality assurance kite-mark.
The matrix standard is the unique quality framework for the effective delivery of information, advice and/or guidance on learning and work.
Community Foundation boss Mark Todd spoke of the new and exciting accreditation: "The Foundation is delighted to have achieved 'the matrix standard' accreditation. It recognises the high quality service the Foundation provides, as well as extremely effective information, advice and guidance delivered throughout Sheffield to our local communities. It is a proud moment for us and to be the very first football club trust in the country to achieve the award is truly humbling."
John P. G. Smith, the matrix practitioner, who assessed, spoke highly of the Foundation: "From a professional point of view, I was impressed with the strong leadership and management in the Foundation, that engenders a strong and supportive team spirit and a deep commitment on the part of all staff to the values and ethos of the Foundation, and to the people of Sheffield."
