Blades appoint new Head of Commercial

Paul Reeves is Sheffield United's new Head of Commercial.

Well-known in the Sheffield City Region business community, Paul, aged 37, joins the Blades having previously been Business Development Director at Rotherham-based Brinsworth Academy of Engineering.

Former roles include Director of Membership Services at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Commercial Training Manager at Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber.

He has enjoyed a successful commercial career, which has seen him shortlisted for a number of leading awards in the industry, this includes the Sales Director of the Year award, organised by Institute of Sales and Marketing Management, and as a finalist in the Yorkshire Business Insider 42 Under 42 in 2012.

Commenting on his appointment, Paul said: "This is a very exciting opportunity to be joining Sheffield United Football Club. It is an honour to represent such a prestigious organisation.

"I am looking forward to continuing to build on the successful relationships the Club has created with the business community in the Sheffield region as well as bringing new commercial partners to Bramall Lane," added Paul.

Sheffield United Managing Director Malachy Brannigan said: "I am delighted to welcome Paul to the Club. He brings with him excellent commercial and business connections which will be an important asset to this Club as it continues to make important strides off-the-field."

Paul also enjoyed strong footballing links prior to beginning his business career, having been on the books of Barnsley, Rotherham United, Chesterfield and Scunthorpe United.
