United's staffing restructure that has taken place throughout the summer can now be confirmed.
With the new season underway, Travis Binnion and John Dungworth have now commenced new roles within the Academy.
Binnion, a former player whose career was ended by a serious injury, is now Professional Development Phase Lead Coach and Head of Player Development.
Meanwhile, Dungworth returns to the Blades for a second spell on the staff. The 58-year-old is the new Professional Development Coach and Head of Coach Development.
The search for a Youth Development Phase Leader and an Academy Skills Coach continues.
During the interim period John Pemberton Jnr will take on the aforementioned vacant position until permanent appointments can be made.
Speaking about the restructuring, Academy Manager Nick Cox said: 'Both Travis and John have a long standing affiliation with the club and a passion for player development.
"We have taken our time in finding the right men for the job and carried out an extensive interview process. We are confident these appointments will help the Academy progress
"Our Technical Board has appointed Travis knowing that we have one of the best young coaches in the country.
"In John we have someone that has worked with some of the best young English talent in his time and brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience back to the Club."
