David Weir has refused to rule out the possibility of further additions, after securing the services of striker Marlon King until the end of the season on Wednesday afternoon.
The Blades boss revealed at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's clash with Preston North End that further business could take place imminently to bolster his squad.
Weir commented: "We are working hard behind the scenes to possibly get one more player in for the weekend, if at all possible.
"But our priority was always recruiting an experienced striker, who is a prolific goalscorer and thankfully we have managed to get the Marlon (King) deal over the line.
"We are continually looking to improve the squad, but as I have always said we won't add players for the sake of it, they have to improve what we already have or offer us something different, that is why signing Marlon ticked all the boxes in that respect."
