Harry Maguire is demanding the Blades respond positively following Saturday's defeat at Wolves.
Speaking after goals from Leigh Griffiths and Bakary Sako consigned United to defeat at Molineux, the defender felt the scoreline was rough justice on the Blades, who again dominated for long periods.
He commented: "The lads are obviously bitterly disappointed again, because first-half we have dominated the game again and really should have come in at the break at least 2-0 up.
"We aren't getting the rub of the green at the moment, but we have to bounce back again on the training pitch and look for a winning performance against Crawley on Friday night.
"It hurts to be bottom of the league, having lost six league matches on the bounce, but we have to remain upbeat and look to put things right.
"We can't lay down and give in, it isn't in the Gaffer's nature and as players it is down to us to end this losing run."
