Chris Porter has left Bramall Lane on a temporary basis to join League Two tabletoppers Chesterfield on-loan until Saturday 2nd November.
The 29-year-old striker hasn't featured for the Blades since starting the 3-1 defeat at Rotherham last month, having been a regular in the opening few weeks of the season.
In total Porter has scored 12 times in 47 starts for United since arriving from Derby County on a free transfer in the summer of 2011. Last season, the former Motherwell marksman enjoyed a productive temporary stint with Shrewsbury Town.
Meanwhile, Manchester City forward Harry Bunn has extended his youth loan at Bramall Lane for another month.
The 20-year-old has made two appearances to date since arriving in South Yorkshire in September and has impressed for the U21s.
