Chris Morgan will be a major part of Nigel Clough's backroom staff, according to Co-Chairman Kevin McCabe.
McCabe stated that following the appointment of Clough as new boss on Wednesday afternoon that Morgan has a big role to play under the management of former England international, who has also added Gary Crosby and Andy Garner to his coaching team.
McCabe commented: "Nigel will be assessing the squad quickly and will gathering plenty of information from Chris Morgan, who has been first-class in recent weeks.
"Chris has taken the reins with a sense of pride at a moment's notice and I can't praise him enough, he will be a major part of Nigel's staff.
"Chris will have a close working relationship with the manager as he continues to take our U21s side, the development squad. His part in first-team affairs is more important than a lot of supporters probably believe."
Prince Abdullah added: "Chris Morgan embodies what it means to be a Blade. Chris has a can-do attitude, a fighting spirit, and a gritty resolve. Add to this that he is a fierce competitor and a true gentleman, and you begin to get the picture. During the last three matches, Chris awoke in our lads a belief. That's a foundation we can build on."
