United's youngsters slipped to a disappointing defeat at Bristol City.


Daniel Cockerline headed home a Kyle Scarisbrick cross to give the Blades an early lead but after conceding a poor equaliser the game slipped out of the visitors grip.


After a positive beginning, Scarisbrick whipped in an inviting centre and COCKERLINE held of his marker to loop a glancing header over the City goalkeeper.


Until the half hour mark United were in complete control and had numerous chance to extend the lead, but poor finishing proved costly shortly afterwards then DAVIES capitalised on a fumble from Eastwood.


Before half-time BISHOP intercepted a misplaced back pass to put the Robins in front.


With Travis Binnion assisting with first-team affairs following David Weir departure, John Dungworth took charge of the team and remarked: "We need to show more conviction in our play, particularly in defensive situations.


"We are conceding too many cheap goals and we aren't clinical enough at the other end of the field."
