Nigel Clough has dilemmas in attacking areas to address before naming his team to face Colchester United in the FA Cup on Saturday.
He has already indicated that Shaun Miller could be handed a first start in ten months, but others are also keen on the roles occupied by Marlon King and Lyle Taylor in recent weeks.
Speaking to the media this week, Clough commented: "Shaun (Miller) needs first-team football and is edging ever closer to a start, he is certainly in contention to do so at the weekend. Shaun is a natural goalscorer and makes those runs off the defenders' shoulder.
"Chris Porter is someone else who enters our thoughts again as he has returned from Chesterfield and we know what qualities he has from our time at Derby.
"The likes of Chris, Jose (Baxter) and Conor (Coady) all featured in the U21s at Barnsley on Monday because we needed to see them in a game situation."
Clough adds: "It doesn't matter that it is the FA Cup we will put a strong team out on Saturday, with the sole focus on progressing to the next round.
"We are fully focused on winning the tie at the first time of asking, so if we do make changes, it won't be weakening the side or resting individuals."
