Clough confident

8 November 2013

Facing a fellow League One outfit in Saturday's FA Cup encounter holds no fear for Blades manager Nigel Clough.

Colchester United, who currently sit 14th in the table, are the hosts as Clough goes in search of a place in the second round of the world's most famous club knockout competition.

"I believe Colchester have a few injury problems ahead of the weekend, so we are unsure at this stage how they will line up," said Clough in the build up to the encounter.

"They have been playing 4-4-2 and are a well-organised, competitive outfit, who, as you would expect, are very good on home soil.

"If we are at our best, which I am confident we will be, we should have that extra bit of quality to progress, but I am sure it will be a good cup tie."

The sides have already met this season. Colchester were visitors to Bramall Lane in August when a long-range Harry Maguire strike cancelled out a goal from Freddie Sears to ensure the points were shared.
