Sheffield United remain in discussions with potential candidates with regards to the vacant manager's position at Bramall Lane.
Chief Executive Julian Winter commented earlier this month that a shortlist of seven candidates had been drawn up, which included Chris Morgan, who took the role on a caretaker basis after Danny Wilson left the Club in April.
Since then members of the Football Club Board have met with individuals interested in steering the Blades, with the principal aim of securing promotion from League One.
On Tuesday, Mr Winter told www.sufc.co.uk: "Out of respect for our candidates, we've attempted to go about our business privately and although we are aware that supporters are awaiting news, there is little to update at the present time.
"We have begun the interview process, the people already seen have been of a high quality and we are continuing to meet further candidates.
"Although we would like to make a decision as soon as possible, we cannot set a time frame for an announcement - the main aim is to appoint the best possible person to take Sheffield United forward."
