Danny Wilson has rubbished suggestions that anyone thinks about the fortunes of anyone else in League One.
Results on Tuesday went for the Blades, with both Doncaster and Brentford losing, but the United boss doesn't believe anybody has the luxury of worrying how a particular result can affect the league table for a rival.
Speaking with regards to MK Dons beating Doncaster 3-0, he commented: "The MK Dons did themselves a favour by beating Doncaster in midweek and they will believe they are still in with a shout.
"Nobody is this league is able to think about doing other teams a favour, that is a fact.
"Stevenage beating Brentford was a result that went our way, but that was because Stevenage would have been determined to end a losing run.
"We don't expect any help elsewhere, we don't want any help from other teams, but if it comes we are grateful. We don't consider what could happen around us because if we win our games then we will be very hard to peg back."
Looking ahead to the weekend, the Gaffer, who has a lot of respect for his former club, added: "We weren't happy with the way we lost the corresponding fixture, but we took it on the chin and moved on.
"We watched MK Dons against Doncaster and they were very impressive, even though Doncaster weren't anywhere near their best.
"Karl (Robinson) will have been delighted with that performance and they will arrive at Bramall Lane full of confidence. They will be encouraged by their form against the top side, so we expect nothing less than a really tough game.
"But they will have to be at their best to negate our threats and they will be well aware of our current form."
