First goal would be a boost

15 March 2013

Matt Hill says the Blades must be wary of Stevenage when they travel to the Lamex on Saturday.

Stevenage have struggled of late and are still a win or two away from preserving their League One status, but Hill insists nothing, at this stage of the season, can be taken for granted.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the experienced defender commented: "Stevenage are a physical side who always give you a tough game. They have had a wobble in the last month or so, we hope that continues at the weekend.

"If we could score first it would give us great confidence, given our defensive record, and perhaps that doubt would creep into the mind of the Stevenage players.

"On the flip side Stevenage will want to end their poor run and from their point of view they will want to do it against Sheffield United.

"We need to be up for the game, match their desire and then hopefully our footballing ability will shine through. I am not sure what has happened at Stevenage this season, but their achievements last season have certainly seen rivals take them very seriously this time around.

"We know it will be a tough game, but we go there confident of getting another crucial win."
