Michael Doyle is tipping Oldham Athletic to give the Blades a real run for their money on Saturday.
The Blades skipper says the players are mindful of Oldham's FA Cup successes this term ahead of the weekend's trip to Lancashire.
Looking ahead to facing the Latics, Doyle says a fast start is imperative to United's chances: "Oldham at Boundary Park is always regarded as a tough game and we must make sure we start positively.
"When we get hold of the game early we tend to win matches, we are at our worst when we start slowly and wait for something to happen as we did against Leyton Orient on Tuesday.
"Oldham are fighting for their lives in the league and we have to match their desire and commitment before, hopefully, our quality on the ball puts them on the back foot.
"Oldham might be fourth from bottom but with their cup exploits they are in great form. This is the time in the season when teams at the bottom often spring a surprise, we must guard against that happening to us."
United's captain reserved a special word for Oldham's caretaker boss, adding: "Tony (Philliskirk) has gone in there and given them their spark back.
"The cup run will have given their morale a boost and they are a dangerous side to be facing at the moment."
