Julian Winter is optimistic his second spell as Chief Executive of the Blades can be a successful one, following the appointment of David Weir as manager.
Winter, now part of the three-man Football Club board, played an instrumental role in appointing Weir as Danny Wilson's permanent successor and is targeting more progress in his own second stint on the Board.
Explaining his departure, subsequent return and objectives for the future, Winter commented: "As I have said previously, we have to start operating as a sustainable business and not with a benefactor model.
"We will continue to work hard behind the scenes to ensure the club can move forward off the pitch, but on the field the aim remains the same, promotion back to the Championship.
"Having gone through what we went through last summer, I felt it was only right that I made my role redundant to help the club moving forward.
"Things change, though, I didn't have to think twice about coming back. I have got an affinity with this club that goes back to my playing days, even though I never played because of injuries!
"It was an exciting time and I will never forget watching the lads of that era win two promotions, now we must replicate that success in the years ahead.
"We must work together as a unit, we won't have the biggest of budgets, but sometimes togetherness and determination can get you further."
