United's U18s enjoyed another productive pre-season workout at Bracken Moor on Monday night.
The youngsters performed admirably against senior opposition and led 2-0 at half-time after goals from Mikhael Partodikaromo and Daniel Cockerline.
The hosts were a constant threat from set-pieces throughout though and got back into the game on the hour mark.
Despite the Blades retaining plenty of possession by playing the ball on the deck, the home side levelled matters mid-way through the second-half.
United continued to have the lion share of the ball in the latter stages and could have nicked a winner, but as Coach Travis Binnion reported, the fixture was another worthwhile experience for the youngsters.
Binnion remarked: "Firstly we have to thank Stocksbridge for the way we were welcomed and their hospitality.
"This was the first clash against one of our partnership clubs and it was a great night and a really good game.
"The whole occasion was a fantastic learning curve for the boys and the let nobody down with their performance on the field against a very well organised side."
