Rangers 3-3 U18s - report

16 July 2013

United's U18s have drawn 3-3 against Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers in their latest pre-season outing, the first of two north of the border.

Jake Eyre added to his hat-trick against Notts County with the opener at Murray Park, only for Rangers to equalise before the break.

United fell behind on the hour, but trialist Jack Kirwan from Celtic restored parity moments later.

The hosts took the lead for a second time with just eight minutes remaining, but Jason Paling ensured the Blades a share of the spoils with a late leveller.

Coach Travis Binnion described the game as a 'good run out' and labelled Rangers as 'great hosts at a fantastic facility'.

United are in action again on Friday when they face Queens Park.
