Lyle Taylor is in line to make his Blades debut in Saturday's pre-season at Mansfield Town, kick-off 3pm.
The striker, who officially completed his move from the Falkirk on Wednesday, is likely to be joined by another ex Bairn, Ryan Flynn, who is scheduled for his first run out of pre-season at Field Mill.
Goalkeeper George Long is another who is likely to be given some game time against the Stags, having returned to training after being given extra time off following his summer excursions with England at the FIFA U20s World Cup.
United will be looking to maintain their unbeaten pre-season schedule and in the process build on last week's 3-1 over Bury at Gigg Lane.
Approximately 350 tickets remain for this game, priced at £10 adults and £5 concessions (under 16s, over 65s and students). They will be on sale until 2pm on Friday. No refunds or amendments can be made after this time.
This game is all ticket and supporters are advised not to travel without a ticket as there will not be any available on the day.
There will be no train service to-and-from Mansfield on matchday as the 'Robin Hood Line' which serves the town is closed for six weeks. Buses will replace trains to and from Mansfield, but this will add an extra 30-45 to journey times.
Mansfield have had mixed results during their pre-season campaign to date, but will take heart from their 4-2 victory over Peterborough United on Wednesday evening
Saturday's game is the first of four in eight days ahead of the big kick-off. United travel to Alfreton on Monday, entertain Atromitos on Friday (26 July) before completing preparations at York City on Saturday (27 July).
