David Weir and Julian Winter were both present on stage at Bramall Lane on Thursday night to give supporters an update with regards to on and off field matters.
Over 300 Unitedites packed out the Platinum Suite as United's manager and Chief Executive spoke honestly and openly ahead of the new season.
Weir started the evening by saying his decision to become Blades boss was 'the right club at the right time'.
He remarked: "At times I have had offers and it wasn't right, but managers are usually successful when they go with instinct and I didn't have to think twice about becoming manager of this football club.
"This opportunity was the right club at the right time for me personally and thankfully my philosophies were matched by what the club wanted moving forward."
Meanwhile, Winter assured the assembled audience that no bids or inquires have been received for either Harry Maguire and George Long, but acknowledged making the Blades a sustainable business remains high priority.
Winter commented: "We haven't had interest in either Harry (Maguire) or George (Long).
"We are still probably carrying a couple of players on legacy contracts, but nobody is on what you could call silly money.
"We must be aware of these contracts because they remain outside our current financial model and if possible they need to be addressed."
