Despite making two permanent signings within the first three days of the January transfer window, boss Danny Wilson is hoping for more.
Danny Higginbotham and Jamie Murphy have arrived from Stoke City and Motherwell respectively, but although he has acknowledged he will have to move some players on, the Gaffer is optimistic about fine tuning his squad further.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's FA Cup tie at Oxford United, Wilson commented:
"I am hopeful of making further additions. I have said before we will always look to strengthen the squad when possible.
"But what people must understand is we are going to have to let some players leave and I fully understand the financial situation here. We know what is available should we be in a position to sign more players because we have to be professional and proactive.
"We are always on the look out and we want to be able to bring players in at the drop of a hat like we did with Danny (Higginbotham) if circumstances allow.
"There is one player that could leave, but although that isn't imminent there is still along way to go before the window shuts. I am not going discuss who the player in question is because that wouldn't be fair to anyone.
"We would like to keep everyone at the club but certain fringe players need to go and play competitive first team football elsewhere."
