Kitson delights Blades chief

14 February 2013

Danny Wilson feels Dave Kitson is going to be instrumental in United's quest for promotion this term.

Speaking after Tuesday's win at Bury, where Kitson partnered Jonathan Forte in attack, Wilson gave his talisman a glowing appraisal:

"Kits is getting better and better, make no mistake, he is a quality player.

"He is a terrific link player who can spot a pass and bring team-mates into the game. He will score goals and his all-round game is excellent. He has that experience, cleverness and a bit of nous."

Looking ahead to returning to action at Bramall Lane at the weekend, Wilson concluded:

"This is a very tough league to get out of, sometimes you need to battle it out to get your reward and if you don't you come unstuck.

"We need to complete the week with a home win against Colchester United to make it three wins in seven days and that challenge will be different for us.

"The onus will be on us at home but we must be patient and make sure we don't become frustrated as we perhaps have done earlier in the season."
