Kevin McDonald received plenty of good natured banter in the dressing room following Saturday's 3-0 victory over Colchester United.
The Scotsman scored the Blades' second goal against the U's to finally break his seasonal duck in front of goal and it earned him some ribbing afterwards.
McDonald said: "The management team were winding me up, saying it was my first goal for the club!
"I am delighted to have scored because there has been nobody more frustrated with my lack of goals than myself.
"The boys were also quick to point out it bobbled in but they all count and the stick won't bother me.
"My goal came at a good time because we had been under a bit of pressure at the beginning of the second half and that really put the game to bed."
Looking ahead to the weekend's clash at promotion rivals Bournemouth, the midfielder added: "It will be a really tough game but we go there on the back of three wins and they lost at Preston at the weekend."
