Danny Wilson insists the Blades must build on Saturday's 3-0 home win over Colchester United.
The victory over the U's was United's first at Bramall Lane in four matches and the Gaffer thinks a change of emphasis has been behind the improvement of late, which also saw the Blades win at Shrewsbury and Bury.
Speaking following the weekend's success that temporarily lifted United back into the top two, prior to Doncaster's draw at Crawley on Monday night, Wilson commented:
"The home form is always paramount going forward and we know the facts show we haven't picked up enough points at Bramall Lane this season, but hopefully Saturday was the start.
"There is nothing complicated about football. We are simplifying everything and just urging the players to go out there and express themselves.
"We don't want to restrict the lads because that won't see them produces their best performances."
Wilson believes United's best chance of success in the remaining 14 matches is to get on the front foot and play at a high tempo.
He added: "Of course you have to maintain your discipline and give the opposition respect, but we will certainly continue to be ambitious and adventurous in offensive areas.
"If we continue to be proactive and confident going forward we will create chances and score goals."
