Dominic Poleon is eager to impress Unitedites and prove his worth to boss Danny Wilson.
The 19-year-old rubber stamped his loan move until the end of the season from Leeds United on the eve of Saturday's clash with Colchester United and duly made his debut against the U's hours later.
Speaking after his cameo appearance at the weekend, Poleon commented: "I really enjoyed my first taste of Bramall Lane, although I was disappointed not to get on the scoresheet.
"We had plenty of chances in the second half but unfortunately one didn't fall my way.
"The lads are a great bunch and settling in has been made easy for me.
"I have enjoyed the way we train and Neil (Warnock) told me this is a massive club and one I can develop at."
Poleon, equally at home down either flank or as a central striker, partnered Dave Kitson in attack after replacing Barry Robson and he feels that combination could be productive during the run-in.
The forward concluded: "Dave is a quality player, he compliments my game and hopefully in time I can compliment him too.
"It was tough when I was on-loan at Bury because we were at the bottom of the table.
"Now I am at a club pushing for promotion and hopefully I am able to contribute to the success in the weeks ahead."
