Nigel Clough believes selecting a settled side in the weeks ahead will give the Blades some much needed continuity during the hectic month of December.
Speaking after Saturday's draw against table topping Leyton Orient, Clough remarked:
"We are trying to get a settled side together. We gave Jose (Baxter) a first start under us at Orient and he did well. Jose shows that bit of quality that we have been lacking and he has worked hard in training and been patient, waiting for his chance.
"We have one or two options. Ideally we don't want to be as negative as we have been in last two away games, but we have dug in and deserved our four points on the road at Bristol City and Orient."
The Gaffer continued: "We need to do our jobs defensively and try to be positive when we are attacking, if we can get seven or eight out there regularly it will bring a bit of continuity.
"After the cup game next weekend, we have three home games in quick succession coming up which we are looking forward to, we want to build confidence with an unbeaten run, we are making slowly making progress."
