Jose Baxter remains upbeat about United's prospects this season, praising the affect Nigel Clough has had on the players.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's game against Swindon Town at Bramall Lane, Baxter, who has started the last two matches said: "When we are at our best, with the squad of players we have, then we shouldn't have anything to fear in League One.
"We had a disappointing and frustrating start to the season, there is no hiding from that, but there is still a lot of games to be played and a lot of points to be won."
The former Everton trainee added: "The Gaffer has come in and made us difficult to beat, the lads have responded positively and results have improved. We have also found a decent level of consistency, but there is more to come - that is for sure.
"Swindon are doing well and come into the game on the back of a penalty shoot-out win in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, but at home we have to be confident of taking all three points."
