Improving home form

13 December 2013

Nigel Clough is anticipating a tough game against play-off hopefuls Swindon Town on Saturday.

But the Blades boss is determined to see his team improve on a record of three wins at Bramall Lane this season, the last of which was Clough's first game at the helm at the end of October.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the manager said: "It will be a tough game, like they all are in this division, but we know we have to improve our home form and this is a chance for us to do so.

"Swindon have started the season well and they certainly are a side that likes to get the ball down and play.

"They have scored a lot of goals this season, so again, first and foremost, we have to make sure we are resolute and give nothing away cheaply.

"We have shown on the road that we are capable of scoring goals, whilst being tough to beat doesn't mean we are being negative but at the moment every point is crucial and we can't simply just go all out to win the game from the first minute.

"Swindon are very quick on the counter-attack, so we must guard against that at the weekend too."
