Come 7.45pm on Friday night, with the Sky cameras at Bramall Lane, David Weir says it will be time for the Blades to do their talking on the pitch rather than off it.
Speaking ahead of the seasonal opener with Notts County, Weir acknowledged the determination within the squad to win promotion back to England's second tier, but the Gaffer is keen to keep all the hype to a minimum until a ball is kicked in anger.
Weir commented: "Talk is cheap, it isn't about how determined we are, it is about what we do on the pitch.
"Rather than saying what we can do, we have to perform to a consistently high standard throughout the season and if we do we will have a very good chance of getting to where we want to be."
The Gaffer concluded "There is a feeling within the group that we should be playing in the Championship, but we are where we are and we are in League One for a reason, unfortunately.
"My job is to address that in the coming months and the hard work started the day I took charge of this fantastic club."
