Febian Brandy was pleased with his and United's opening performance on Friday evening.
The 24-year-old made his competitive debut in the 2-1 success over Notts County, proving a constant thorn in the side of the Magpies.
"It was a deserved win, we were on top from start to finish," he said. "The red card did help but even if they had eleven men on the pitch, we'd have edged them out.
"Personally, I like to try to entertain and if the fans are on my side then that gives me more confidence. I like to show the fans what I can do and if I can get them off their seats and create chances at the same time then it is a win-win situation.
"Friday was good for both me and the team, it went well as a start and hopefully we can show more as the season progresses."
