George Long is one of three goalkeepers named by new England U21 boss Gareth Southgate for forthcoming UEFA European Championship qualifiers against Moldova and Finland next month.
Long, who was an unused substitute in the U21s' recent 6-0 friendly success over Scotland at Bramall Lane is named in the 25-man squad, alongside Jack Butland of Stoke City and Watford's Jonathan Bond.
The Three Lions welcome Moldova to Reading's Madejski Stadium on Thursday 5th September; kick-off 7.45pm, before heading out to Finland for the second qualifier in four days on Monday 9th September.
The squad will meet up at St. George's Park next weekend to prepare for the game with Moldova in Berkshire.
Long is the second Blade to be selected for international duty today (Tuesday) after Sean McGinty was called-up by Republic of Ireland's U21s.
