Two young Blades have been called up for international duty.

Academy youngster Jamie McDonagh and new recruit Jasper Johns are both in the Northern Ireland U19s squad for a friendly against their Scottish counterparts next week.

McDonagh, who hails from Lisburn, has been a regular in Northern Ireland youth squads, whilst Johns, signed following his release from Everton this summer, is Stafford-born but qualifies through his mother's family.

McDonagh played in the pre-season victory at Alfreton and Johns scored with his second touch on his Blades debut, a friendly success at Bury.

The fixture will be play at Somerset Park, Ayr, on Tuesday 13th August.
