Skipper upbeat

18 April 2013

Michael Doyle insists the 'fight' must go on after Tuesday's draw with Brentford at Bramall Lane.

Speaking after the action-packed encounter, United's captain was in philosophical mood:

"We did so well and showed a lot of character to come from behind and once we got in front I honestly thought we had enough to win the game, especially with our numerical advantage.

"In the end, despite all the drama, we were left bitterly disappointed. Some of the decisions were very strange to say the least but we must fight on.

"Credit to Brentford, they stuck in there and we were unable to kill the game off. Saying that I thought we were brilliant for long periods, despite the result.

"They played on the counter attack for much of the game and to be honest they caused us a few problems, so we must learn from certain aspects of the game."
