Danny Wilson is likely to have a few selection posers ahead of Saturday's trip to Walsall.
Jamie Murphy returned to action on Monday after missing Friday's win at Tranmere, but Ryan Flynn was sidelined with an ankle problem against Carlisle.
During the stalemate with the Cumbrians, Tony McMahon picked up his tenth booking of the season, meaning he will miss the next two games.
Matt Hill was withdrawn at half-time and Dave Kitson just after the hour and after confirming a couple of injuries and McMahon's forthcoming suspension, Gaffer Wilson reserved special praise for Kitson's replacement, Joe Ironside:
"Joe was absolutely brilliant; he got hold of the ball and was a real handful. His endeavour and link play were excellent and the way he shows for the ball shows he is a very good young player.
"Jamie (Murphy) was introduced at half-time to try and give us a spark, but we were mindful we couldn't push him too hard. We have nursed him back to this stage and thought it was worth taking a calculated gamble.
"Dave (Kitson) has got a bit of tight hamstring, Matty (Hill) got a whack on the head and was suffering with double vision.
"Tony (McMahon) is now suspended for two games, so it isn't going to be easy, but we will regroup and go again."
