Chris Morgan says calling on David Unsworth's services to assist him with first-team affairs until the end of the season was an 'obvious choice'.
Unsworth was a key member of the Blades squad that won promotion to the Premiership not so long ago and the duo share the utmost respect for each other.
Speaking about the characteristics of his new assistant, Morgan said: "With me asking David (Unsworth) to assist it gives the players a different voice and Unsy is very much like myself.
"We are both strong characters and we will demand the very best from the players we have available, he was the obvious choice for me once I agreed to take charge.
"The pair of us always had a belief in our ability and that is what we need from the players in these next five matches, they must back themselves.
"We have got a good blend of youth and experience and some of the young lads have no fear, we want that to continue.
"Myself and David will do everything we can to prepare the lads properly and it isn't so long ago that both of us were in their position, so we can relate to what has happened.
"David is meticulous in his planning, like I am and the players will cross that white line with all the information they need, what we can do is play for them.
"We need them to come to the fore now and produce the performances to put us firmly in the promotion shake-up."
Meanwhile, one of Morgan's first decisions since taking charge has been to recall Jordan Chapell from his loan spell at Torquay United.
