Danny Wilson has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday's long trip to face Yeovil Town.
Chris Porter and Dave Kitson are both in contention for a starting berth, with the latter appearing closest to inclusion against the Glovers following an appearance as a substitute against Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday evening.
Speaking at his weekly press conference, the Blades boss said: "Chris completed pre-season but because of injury he has had a lapse in his training. Both are keen to be involved, as you would expect."
Michael Doyle and Ryan Flynn serve the third and final game of their three match bans.
Meanwhile, the hosts look set to be without Chelsea loanee Rohan Ince (ankle), the defender suffered a recurrence of the injury he suffered in pre-season against Leyton Orient in midweek.
Glovers boss Gary Johnson, who appears set on recalling skipper Jamie McAllister at left-back in place of Nathan Ralph, fears Ince may have to return to Stamford Bridge for treatment.
