Danny Wilson is full of admiration for the start Notts County have made in League One and acknowledges his players will have to be at their best to net all three points on Saturday.
The Blades did the double over the Magpies last term, including a thrilling 5-2 success at Meadow Lane in March, and Wilson is hoping for something similar at Bramall Lane at the weekend.
Casting his mind back, the boss, who anticipates County will raise their game like many visitors to S2 have done already this term, commented: "I can remember that performance (last season) vividly and we will need a repeat at the weekend.
"Saturday promises to be a fantastic game, at Bramall Lane there will be a big crowd and Keith Curle will come here confident of victory, which should lead to an open game.
"I hope at 5pm on Saturday they are saying it has been their toughest test to date.
"We have seen when teams have come to Bramall Lane this season they have been inspired and given that bit extra.
"Most of the results afterwards have been defeats, so the proof is in the pudding that teams up their games here and we have to be ready for these situations."
On the threat of the Magpies, Wilson concluded: "We have had some very strong reports in the last few weeks so we must be respectful of them as we will be in for a very tough match.
"Keith hasn't changed their style much this season, whether that be at home or away, and they will be keen to continue their excellent start."
