Westlake wants derby joy for fans

18 September 2012

Darryl Westlake is looking forward to Tuesday night's South Yorkshire derby at Bramall Lane and says victory would be for the fans.

In the build up to the home encounter with Doncaster Rovers, he said: "Local derbies are something quiet new to me because there weren't that many at Walsall.

"The one at Scunthorpe was heated encounter, but that is what derbies are normally about. We know we have to keep our discipline and hopefully if we can do that then we can get the three points for the fans.

"Doncaster are a good team who like to get the ball down and play but we will be ready for that challenge."

The Blades go into the clash unbeaten from six matches in League One, although Westlake knows turning a point into three remains the priority:

"We are pleased to be unbeaten but we know some of those draws should have been wins. If we can turn those draws into wins then we will soon move higher up the table."
