Danny Wilson is 'delighted' to have netted Paul Gallagher on a short-term loan basis.
The Leicester City forward completed the paperwork on his one-month loan switch to Bramall Lane on Thursday morning and the Gaffer says the signing was important given the failed appeals to over the red cards shown to Michael Doyle and Ryan Flynn at Scunthorpe United.
On the signing of Gallagher, Wilson said: "We are delighted to have the services of Paul for a month.
"It is always difficult to get players of his ability on-loan but we have known of his availability for a while and his versatility will be important given the suspensions.
"The experienced players you want aren't always available when you need them, but thankfully is this an instance it has worked out and we feel he can fit into the team straight away.
"We are getting an experienced player with talent, who offers us versatility and, most importantly, a lad who wants to play football.
"He hasn't played much at Leicester so he comes determined to succeed and that will only be of benefit to us.
"Paul has consistently scored goals at a good level for a number of seasons now and although he is only here initially for a month, he will certainly improve the squad."
