Harry convinced Blades will improve

7 September 2012

Harry Maguire says the Blades are happy with the progress so far this season, but is sure there is more to come:

"We have made a solid start and to have got eight points from four matches is something like what we wanted, although it could have been even better. We had two tough away games at Coventry and Colchester but we feel we did enough to win both those matches.

"To score goals, especially at Bramall Lane (against Bournemouth) is always pleasing, but we want to tighten up at the back and defend set-pieces better.

"We have defended pretty well in general, but we have been sloppy and to have conceded three times from set-pieces isn't good enough, but we are working hard to address that situation."

On Saturday's trip to Lincolnshire, the defender added: "It is always a tough test there and people say Scunthorpe are our bogey side, but we are focused on going there and returning with a positive result.

"We know they haven't started well, but they have got some good players and Glanford Park is always a difficult place to go to and get three points, but we are confident."
