Joe Ironside was on target for the Blades in Monday afternoon's draw with Forest at Bramall Lane.
Chris Morgan's side created a number of chances against the Championship side but were pegged back by a goal in the final ten minutes.
In a slow first half Forest recorded the first shot on goal, Andrews firing at Long, but the Blades went close through a Chapell curler before taking the lead on 26 minutes. Following a mistake by Regan, Miller and IRONSIDE pounced before the latter beat goalkeeper Evtimov with the aid of a deflection.
Miller shot over after another mistake in the Forest defence, whilst after the interval, Chapell came close to doubling the lead but Evtimov made a smart save after another deflection.
Forest also worked a couple of opportunities. Blake and Sebastiao went close, whilst Long was forced to make a fingertip save from Ben Idir. However, the visitors leveled with six minutes remaining - Salt was pulled up for a foul and WALLACE curled into the top corner from 25 yards.
The remaining minutes were busy and if anyone was going to clinch a winner it was the Blades. Kennedy had a header saved by Evtimov, whilst teenage substitute De Girolamo went close on no less than four occasions in the final 10 minutes, including forcing Evtimov into a fine save after a neat turn on the edge of the box.
Blades: Long, Westlake, McFadzean, Harriott, Salt, Kennedy, Chapell, Pemberton, Ironside, Miller (Tonne 71), Phillskirk (De Girolamo 79).
Unused: Owen, T. Williams, J. Williams.
