Marcus gives his all

11 October 2012

Marcus Williams is confident of proving his worth after regaining a place in United's starting line-up for the win at Leyton Orient.

With Neill Collins missing with a foot problem, Matt Hill moved inside to play at centre-half and Williams slipped in seamlessly at left-back and now he is determined to retain his place:

"It is always nice to extend the unbeaten run with another three points and a clean sheet away from home. We were under pressure at times last Saturday but defended well as a team and deserved the win.

"I have always given my all when selected and I am pleased to be contributing to the success of the team this season."

Ahead of Saturday's home clash, Williams commented: "Hopefully we can continue the unbeaten run against Oldham, but it won't easy against a team that has won two on the bounce.

"The emphasis at Bramall Lane, though, is to take the game by the scruff of the neck. We want to turn the home draws into wins like we have on the road and if we achieve that we should remain there or thereabouts."
