Flynn bids for home successes

15 October 2012

Ryan Flynn says the Blades need to develop a 'ruthless streak' at Bramall Lane.

Speaking after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Oldham Athletic, United's fourth home draw on the bounce, Flynn commented: "We are ultimately very disappointed, after taking the lead we played some decent football and should have got a second to kill the game off.

"Personally I am ruing the chance I missed because having done the hardwork of beating the defender I should have scored.

"We know we need to win our home matches, but we have to take the positives from the draws and address the negatives. We are still unbeaten and sit third in the league, but, especially at home, we need to be more ruthless."

Of the Latics late leveller, the Scottish winger added: "We should have defended the cross better, it was just a hopeful punt into the box and we have been caught flat footed."
