Boss upbeat about home form

23 October 2012

Danny Wilson is keen to see his team return to winning ways at home and starting turning Bramall Lane into a fortress.

After witnessing five consecutive victories on the road in all competitions, the Gaffer has been understandably frustrated at four successive League One draws at home, but remains upbeat about his team's prospects when playing at the Lane:

"We always want to put a show on for our supporters and we pride ourselves on the way we play. Sometimes it isn't possible and you often have to respect what you are playing against.

"Teams will come to Bramall Lane to try and stifle our attacking threat, frustrate us and stay in the game for as long as possible.

"Despite wanting to put a show on, I would, like supporters, take 1-0 every week."

On Tuesday night's challenge against the Saddlers, Wilson commented: "Walsall are a good footballing side, we have seen them a couple of times and been very impressed.

"They were coasting at 2-0 against Crewe on Saturday before being pegged back to a draw late on.

"Technically they will be one of the better ones we play, although they are a young side. They have a lot of enthusiasm and endeavour, though, and I am sure it will be a good game."
