Danny Wilson believes Sheffield United is a club on the up and he is tipping the place to 'take off' once a return to the Championship is secured.
The Blades boss has been in charge for 70 games prior to the weekend, winning 38, drawing 20 and losing just 12 but he says the majority of praise should be directed at his players:
"We strive to be consistent and have achieved that since I arrived.
"That is down to the application and desire of the players because we set a very high standard that we expect them to reach.
"We have lost a few players during the summer, but their replacements have done really well and the season is still very much in its infancy, so hopefully there is even more to come."
On his impressive record and tenure at the Lane to date, the Gaffer added: "I am proud of the record, but ultimately we will be judged on where we finish the season.
"I have always thought this was a great club to manage and I would have been foolish to turn it down.
"I have endorsed, since day one, how much it should mean to play or manage this club and should we get success this place could really take off in the years ahead - to be part of that would be fantastic for everyone involved."
